About QR Suisse

Why QR Suisse exists
A dynamic QR code does not point straight to your page: it first goes through the service that created it, which then redirects the person to the right destination. Every scan therefore passes through that provider's servers. For a medical practice, an insurance broker or any organisation that must account for how it handles its clients' data, the choice of provider matters.
The starting question was simple: where is a QR code generator's data hosted, and under which law? QR Suisse answers it in writing: its privacy policy states which data is kept, where, by whom and for how long.
What we do, and how
Dynamic QR codes. You change a QR code's destination from your account, and materials already printed lead to the new page, without reprinting.
Aggregated statistics only. For each QR code we keep a total count and a number of scans per day. We store neither the device, nor the country, nor the IP address of the person scanning in our database. Details in the privacy policy (§2.2).
Hosted in Switzerland. Your QR codes, their scan statistics and your account data are hosted and processed in Switzerland, at Infomaniak; we do not outsource this infrastructure to a provider based outside Switzerland. Three ancillary services, described in our privacy policy, are the exception: payment for paid plans (Stripe), audience measurement and advertising for the public website, only if you accept them (Google), and the security certificate for a custom domain (Let's Encrypt).
Four languages. The service is available in French, German, English and Italian.
What QR Suisse is not: a QR-bill generator
QR Suisse does not create QR-bills. The QR-bill is the Swiss standard for paying invoices; its QR code carries a Swiss cross in the centre. QR Suisse has no connection with this standard or the bodies that administer it. To create a QR-bill, contact your bank or use your accounting software.
QR Suisse creates general-purpose QR codes: links to a website or a form, contact cards and other types available in the application.
