Dynamic QR code use cases
A dynamic QR code is useful wherever a printed item stays in place longer than the information it points to. With QR Suisse, a dynamic QR code generator published by Skyday Sàrl, you change the destination from your account, without reprinting, and track the number of scans of each QR code, day by day.
By sector
Real estate
The same "For Sale" sign for the next property, and a building notice that stays up to date.
Fiduciaries, law firms and notaries
The list of tax documents changes every year, your letter doesn't.
Medical practices
Patient forms and waiting room, without reprinting when the software changes.
Insurance brokers and agencies
A paper file that always points to up-to-date information.
Hotels and tourism
Summer information, then winter information, on the same table stands.
Municipalities
Waste centre opening hours, notices and roadworks: up-to-date information next to a notice that stays.
Restaurants
Seasonal menu and daily menu, with the same QR code on the tables.
Trades
Vehicle, site board, quote request, on markings that last for years.
By printed material
Static or dynamic: which one for printed material?
A static QR code contains its destination in the pattern of the code itself. It works without a third-party service, but it can no longer be changed after printing, and it does not count scans. If the information will never change and you don't need to know whether the item is being used, a static QR code is enough. QR Suisse only creates dynamic QR codes, from an account.
A dynamic QR code goes through a short address that redirects at the moment of the scan. You can change the destination, fix a mistake or extend the life of a printed item, and see how many times it is scanned. In return, it works as long as your QR Suisse account stays active and the service is available.

Frequently asked questions
What is a dynamic QR code for?
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
Which QR code types does QR Suisse offer?
Seven types:
- the Link family: Web, Email, SMS, Phone and FTP;
- Business card, which offers to save a contact on the phone;
- Calendar, which offers to add an event to the calendar.
Within the Link family, you can switch from one type to another (from Web to SMS, for example). In the dashboard, the Link, Business card or Calendar type is set at creation. Via the API (Pro and Entreprise plans), a Link and a Calendar can change type along with their destination; a Business card always keeps its type.
Will a printed QR code still work in several years?
