Practical situations

  1. One sign, several properties. The "For Sale" or "To Let" sign in front of a property carries a QR code that leads to the listing. Once the property is sold, you redirect this QR code to the next property before moving the sign. The sign stays the same; only the destination changes.

  2. Notices in the building. In the entrance, the laundry room or the bin room, the property manager puts up a QR code. It leads to the house rules, the laundry schedule or the form for reporting damage. When the document changes, you update the destination, and the notice stays on the wall. The form stays in your own tool: QR Suisse does not see what tenants enter in it.

  3. The viewing in the calendar. On the printed listing or on the sign, a Calendar QR code offers to add the group viewing (title, times, location) to the calendar of the person scanning. If the date changes, you correct the event for subsequent scans; people who have already added it keep the old version.

  4. One more property, your team. The Free plan covers 3 active QR codes and 1 user. As soon as you have more properties on the market at the same time, or several agents look after the signs, the Pro plan removes these limits. It also lets you organise QR codes by property with tags, and compare the scans of each sign over 15 months, for the whole time a property is on the market.

What QR Suisse does, and what it doesn't

Does

  • redirects each QR code to the page of your choice, editable at any time;
  • optionally adds UTM parameters, so that your website's analytics tool recognises visits coming from a sign;
  • offers to add a viewing to the calendar (QR Calendar) or to save the agent's contact on the phone (QR Business card);
  • with Pro and Entreprise, also:
    • tags by property or by building;
    • access for each team member, with their own rights;
    • your own subdomain (for example qr.your-agency.ch) instead of qrsuisse.ch.

Doesn't

  • host the listing, the photos or the sales file: the QR code points to your website or your portal;
  • publish anything on property portals;
  • tell you who scanned, or from where: for each QR code, QR Suisse keeps a total count and a number of scans per day; neither the device, nor the country, nor the IP address of the person scanning is stored in the database;
  • create anything other than black-on-white QR codes, with no colour and no logo.

Frequently asked questions

Can a "For Sale" sign be reused for another property?
Yes. The QR code image encodes a short address that does not change. You change the destination from your QR Suisse account, and the sign immediately leads to the next property's listing, without reprinting.
What do a sign's statistics show?
The number of scans of the QR code, in total and day by day: you know whether a sign is being looked at, not who is looking at it. Neither the device, nor the country, nor the IP address of the person scanning is stored in the database. The history you can view covers 7 days on the Free plan and 15 months on the Pro and Entreprise plans.
Can a QR code add a viewing to a buyer's calendar?
Yes, with a Calendar QR code: title, start and end, and optionally the location and a description. When scanned, the event is offered for adding to the calendar. Once added, it no longer depends on QR Suisse. A correction made afterwards therefore only applies to subsequent scans.
Does QR Suisse host my listings and photos?
No. QR Suisse keeps the QR code's destination and its scan statistics. The listing, the photos and the sales file stay on your website or your portal.
How many QR codes does an agency or a property management firm need?
One per item you want to track or change separately: one per sign, per building or per brochure, for example. The Free plan allows 3 active at a time; the Pro and Entreprise plans have no limit.
Can several colleagues manage the agency's QR codes?
Yes, with the Pro and Entreprise plans. You invite each colleague by email and give them rights: manage their own QR codes or the whole account's, view statistics, manage users or the subscription. A colleague who leaves the agency can be deactivated at any time.
Will a sign's QR code still work in several years?
As long as your QR Suisse account stays active and the service is available, yes. QR codes printed with a custom domain only work with an active Pro or Entreprise subscription, with no grace period: read the help page before printing.
